- Payment
- Home Folklore accepts cashier's check/money orders, major credit cards and US bank transfer payments. All credit card and bank transfer payments are processed securely through PayPal or GoogleCheckout. County and state sales tax are included for orders shipped to New York state.
- Orders paid with a cashier's check or money order are placed on hold until the payment has cleared. We will hold an order for two weeks before canceling it due to non-payment. The cashier's check or money order must be drawn on a US bank. Home Folklore does not guarantee item availability with these payment methods. Orders are shipped after payment has cleared if the items are still available or can be backordered. Please contact Customer Service if you wish to pay by this method.
- Shipping & Delivery
- PayPal or GoogleCheckout orders are usually shipped within 2 business days of payment unless specified otherwise in the item description. Cashier's check/money order payments must clear before the order is shipped. Items listed as Special Order are shipped within 1-2 weeks of payment. Your order is shipped insured with a choice of UPS, USPS or FedEx. If you need to ship to a P.O. box, you should ship USPS. Every effort will be made to accommodate your shipping preference. However, Home Folklore reserves the right to change your shipping preferences if the method you have chosen during checkout is either not appropriate or for whatever reason, not currently available. You will be notified via e-mail of the shipping carrier and tracking number after your order has shipped. We will only require a signature on delivery if you specifically request it (will require an additional charge). To top.
- Returns
- We want you to be happy with your purchase! If you have received a defective item or the wrong item, please contact Customer Service within 1 week of delivery for a return shipping label. Your order will be credited as described in the Refunds section below.
- Otherwise, most items are returnable. Items that are NOT returnable are:
- Fabric without defects cut to specific lengths
- Trims without defects cut to specific lengths
- Custom made items
- Items marked as Special Order are returnable for store credit only. Follow the return instructions below to return a special order item. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable except for defective goods.
- Some items have been used for store display as noted in the product's description. They have been installed in a retail store environment for customer view and may exhibit some wear from being exhibited that a non-display item would not have. They are not returned or defective goods. All of these items have been substantially discounted to reflect their former use. Because Home Folklore believes them to be in excellent condition, these items are returnable but shipping and handling charges will only be refunded on a case by case basis. If you are interested in a store display item but are unsure of the "wear" it may have, please contact Customer Service. In most cases, additional photos can be e-mailed as well as further description.
- How To Return an Item
- If you are dissatisfied with a returnable item, please e-mail Customer Service within 1 week of delivery to obtain a return authorization number. Home Folklore will not credit any items returned without an RA number. Write the RA number on the outside of the box and send your return to:

- Refunds
- After we receive your returned items in their original condition and packaging (if any), Home Folklore will issue a refund. Defective goods and incorrectly shipped items are refunded for the cost of the item as well as any tax, shipping and handling fees. Non-defective goods are refunded for the cost of the item and any sales tax. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Special order items receive store credit for the cost of the item plus sales tax. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. PayPal or GoogleCheckout purchases are refunded immediately through the respective payment service. Cashier's check and money order payments are refunded by company check within 2 weeks of credit issue.To top.
- Order Cancellation
- If you need to cancel your order, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible. If the order has not been processed (items have not been cut to length, order has not been assigned a shipping number), you will receive a refund for the purchase of stock items and store credit for special order items. Any tax, shipping and handling charges will be credited as well. However, if the order has been processed, you may refuse the box when it is delivered. After we receive the shipment back, we will issue a refund as described above for the purchase price and any tax. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. To top.
- 30-Day Guarantee
- Home Folklore guarantees that all our items are free of defects in workmanship and materials for 30 days after delivery. We will replace, repair or refund at our discretion and expense any item that does not function as intended during this period. Custom made and special order items can be repaired for up to six months after delivery for the cost of shipping. Contact Customer Service to arrange for this service. To top.
If you choose to pay with PayPal or GoogleCheckout, immediate payment is required. You will complete your address and credit card information at your choice of payment service gateway by clicking either the PayPal or GoogleCheckout button at the bottom of your shopping cart.
Any questions about the security of PayPal or GoogleCheckout should be directed to the respective payment service. Home Folklore does not have any access to your credit card information at any time before or after checkout. The name "HomeFolklore" will be listed as the vendor on your credit card statement. You are notified of all purchase and credit activity from PayPal or GoogleCheckout and Home Folklore via e-mail.
